Ok, so on Sunday afternoon, we had Tyler's birthday party at "The Little Gym" and we invited everyone in his class. 16 classmates joined Tyler and Evan for the fun!! But first, there was prep work to be done.
The night before, I had to assemble the goody bags.
Party horns, stickers (trucks for the boys, butterflies for the girls), a bouncy ball, a Backyardigans memory card game, a Backyardigans star whistle, and M&M's.

The first 10 minutes or so was a free for all - the kids were free to run around and play on any equipment they wanted to.

Tyler was partial to these rings. That's his friend Brady swinging with him.

The instructor helped them flip over on the bars.

Back to the rings... this time Lucas has joined in.
It was so fun to see all these kids arrive for the party all accompanied by a parent (or two), of course. Here are some of them, lining up to go into the gym at the beginning. You can see Tyler at the front of the line holding the instructor's hands. The woman in black is Mrs. Jessica who is one of Tyler's teachers - she is with her daughter McKenna [ADORABLE], who is in Tyler's class.

Then it was time for some structured play...

Mitch and I tried hard to get Tyler and Evan to sit in the circle and participate, but they weren't having any of it. So while everyone else danced and did things together, our guys just ran around willy nilly. So here are some photos of everyone else's children...

And here are a couple of short videos of Tyler. WARNING: THESE VIDEOS CONTAIN PUSHING AND ACCIDENTAL HEAD BONKING. *sigh* He is all boy!!!
Finally, Tyler and Evan agreed to participate on the bouncy thingy...

At one point, I swear she was kicking her feet and bopping her head to the music, so I tried to capture it on video...

Here it is, the Backyardigans cake. Tyler talked about it for weeks before - I had let him pick it out from the book at the bakery (at the Super Target of course!!)

Let the sugar feast commence!

It was a great party. It was fun to see Tyler interact with the other kids (minus the pushing and the accidental head bonking), and it was nice to meet some of the other parents too. I'm sure we will go back there - when Evan turns 3 in December!!!

There was no napping that day, so needless to say, it was an early night for the boys!! They went to bed with happy faces. :)
