This week has brought us some beautiful, warm, sunny weather! Such a treat after a long, more wintery than usual, winter.
Yesterday was the first official day of Spring, and what better way to celebrate than with an Easter Egg Hunt? At 10:00 a.m., we headed over to Peacock Park (just up the street from our house) for what we learned is an annual event.
The boys had a great time "hunting" for all the eggs that were in plain sight :). We forgot their buckets, but luckily had some Target bags in the car (shocking, I know).
Here's Maddy, wearing the BEAUTIFUL sweater that Mimi made her, and looking a little mad that she was unable to participate! Next year Maddy!!!
It was a lot of fun, and we look forward to doing it again next year!!

Well, guess they did some hard playing, because this was the scene in the minivan when I turned around about halfway home...
When they were done, Tyler and Evan showed their haul to our neighbor, Anna (who helped watch Maddy while I took pictures of the boys).
It was a lot of fun, and we look forward to doing it again next year!!
The Spring bug has really bitten us, so after the egg hunt, we headed to Chantilly to visit the showroom for Creative Playthings (http://www.creativeplaythings.com/). We are in the process of deciding what kind of playset to get for the backyard - now that we have one!! The boys had a GREAT time testing everything out!

If you look closely in the mirror, you can see that Maddy was passed out too! Further solidifying the decision to get one of these playsets at home!! :)
Lastly, here is a better shot of Maddy in the gorgeous sweater my mom made for her. I was so glad that she finally got to wear it! She looks pretty happy too!
