Graduation

So where do I start with this?  Do I start with all the clichés - "Oh, where has the time gone?" "They grow up so fast!" "Don't blink or you'll miss it!"???

Well, they're all true, of course, no matter how trite or ridiculous they sound the hundreds of times you hear them.  But so it goes... I blinked and my little one graduated from preschool.  Wait! How did she grow up so fast??  Where DID that time go??

*SIGH*  Anyway, my heart was skipping beats all week in anticipation of this morning.  Was I ready for this??  Was SHE???

Please.  This child is ready for ANYTHING!

Kinda funny.  She can be shy - hide behind me when there are people she doesn't know, that kind of thing (which is NOT a bad thing - I'd rather her be wary than all-trusting).  But, she doesn't seem to have any fear on stage (can't IMAGINE where she gets that from...).  Unfortunately, the videos I took are too big to post here, but I assure you, she rocked it. On the first song there was a lot of movement, so she was busy doing that. But on the second one, the kids were just standing in a line holding hands so she had a lot of time to notice who was out in the audience.  She kept dropping Jacob's hand so she could wave and acknowledge everyone that came to see her!  It was a riot!

After all the classes had their performances, it was time for diplomas.  Doesn't Pomp and Circumstance always choke you up??  Ugh!  Here's her adorableness in her cap and gown:

And luckily, I am able to post the video of her receiving her diploma:

The woman she hugs is her beloved Ms. Faith.  My boys both had Ms. Catherine, and I was convinced that Maddy would too, so I was dismayed at the beginning of the year to find out that she didn't.  I had never laid eyes on Ms. Faith and didn't know how it would go.  But I needn't have worried.  She was wonderful, and Maddy had a fantastic year.  We will both miss her very much.  This was on the last day of school:

And so ends an era.  My third and last child to attend Daytime Playtime.  I'm so grateful that I found this place four years ago.  Their motto says it all:  "A fun place to LEARN.... A great place to GROW".  Indeed.

So on to bigger things now - kindergarten in 78 short days from now.  Be still my heart!!!
