I know. I know. There are some “Mommy Bloggers” who work full time jobs outside the home, take care of their six kids, create, professionally photograph, and share unique, delicious, healthy family recipes with the world, AND get paid to do it. I am not one of those. I don’t work full time outside the home (just one day a week), and I certainly am no artist in the kitchen. I’m lucky I get dinner on the table every night, nevermind sharing any masterpieces with the world. And NO ONE is paying me for my wit or sense of humor. So, the only way I can explain my delinquency on my blog is….. Facebook. I admit, I am a Facebook addict. There are plenty of things I don’t get done because I spend probably too much of my time on Facebook. And there are times when I think, why should I blog when everyone who ever read my blog is on Facebook and can see my pictures and glean insight on my life from my status updates???
I started this blog so that far flung family and friends could keep up with us, but also so that someday, my kids could go back and read what mommy wrote about them and our adventures as a family. And as savvy as kids are these days, my 4 year old, my 3 year old, and my 22 month old are NOT ON FACEBOOK. So, for them, I must come back to this task and vow to do better. And perhaps it will force me to spend less time on Facebook. That’s probably a good thing.
Stay tuned. For now, here is an recent family shot of us.
