The Little Helper Strikes Again!!

On Sunday, Tyler helped Daddy wash Fammy's car.

He's so proud of himself too: "I helping Daddy!" It's working out nicely for Mommy too on occasion because he's very eager to throw things in the trash. So when Mommy is feeling very pregnant and lazy and needs to throw away her napkin from the big bowl of ice cream she just polished off, Tyler is at the ready! Can't quite trust him with the glass bowl yet... He's good with plastic bowls though and has been helping Grandad feed Mazie every night by carrying the bowl and placing it on the mat and calling out "C'mon Mazie! Supper!" Very, very cute.

On Monday morning, we had the framewalk at the house.

This was the opportunity to walk around and take pictures of where all the electrical and plumbing stuff is so that if we ever have issues, we know where everything is and can tell whoever comes to fix the problem. It's also an opportunity to make sure everything is in the right place before it's too difficult to move. It's a good thing they do this, because there were actually some things that were wrong. We're paying extra to have some of the cable/internet jacks and power outlets up high so we can mount flat screen TVs on the walls, and some of them weren't there. There was also a discrepancy about whether or not we were getting the columns in the living room. We know we are, but the building supervisor said we weren't. By the end of the day, it had all been hashed out between our agent, our salesperson and Tom, the building supervisor, and all was well. This means that when we visit this weekend, we should see some drywall up! They said they might possibly start on the siding this week as well! Can't wait to see it. We won't make it out there until Sunday though because on Saturday is Nathan's 4th birthday party!! We are looking forward to that as we haven't seen Ashley and her crew for a while.

After the framewalk on Monday morning, Mitch and I toured three different child care centers. The boys are now enrolled at Winwood Children's Center. It's a daycare, pre-school, and kindergarten, so it will carry them through until they are ready to go to elementary school (Glenkirk Elementary, to be exact, which is walking distance from our house). It was the best of the three that we visited and was actually quite impressive. They have these wonderful little classrooms, there is a music program, they'll learn sign language, and there is a computer lab! All food is provided (breakfast, lunch, and snack), so no more packing coolers every morning - I will NOT miss that!! They are also equipped with web cams, so we'll be able to check in on them during the day from work. It is also the one that is closest to the house, so that is a bonus as well.

Monday night was a rough one, with Evan deciding that he didn't want to sleep. He does this every once in a while. He'll just be wide awake all night. Doesn't seem to be sick, or scared, or anything, just awake. So, Mommy and Daddy end up being awake all night too. He usually falls asleep right about the time that I have to get up and get ready for work. So while we're all scrambling around getting ready and feeling like zombies, here is Evan on the couch:

He practically slept through getting dressed and didn't really wake up until he was in the car on his way to Bila's. He had a cranky day too. But, the good news is that it was only one night and he is back to sleeping normally. We should have at least a month before it happens again. KNOCK ON WOOD!!!
